Takada plums are soaked in sake prepared by Akebono Sake Brewery and refrigerated at 0 to 3 Celsius Degree for a year. Akebono Color Umeshu White Label is made from Junmai Daiginjo sake, which has the highest value among sake! It is quite rare that Junmai Daiginjo sake is used as the base for plum wine.
Immediately after opening, you can feel the pleasant scent of plum blossoms. A charmingly sweet and sour mouth that warps the lustrous sweetness with the sourness of umeboshi, it has a smooth texture that expresses the lightness of 7% alcohol, but the taste that melts into it is clear and vivid.
It is a plum wine that makes the most of the aroma, sourness of the plums and the sweetness of sake. When you look at the colour of the plum wine, it has a warm colour like the sky where the rising sun rises.
It is delicious even if it is warmed further, trying it warm at 40 to 50 celsius degree, it adds a little mellowness, the acidity is still alive and refreshing hot plum wine is enjoyed!
